Winstrix is built largely from scratch, but it stands on the shoulders of some excellent open-source work. Thank you to the maintainers below.

Built in-house
The features that define Winstrix — window snapping, the Alt+Tab switcher, and the keyboard remapping engine — are written from scratch. We deliberately use no copyleft (GPL) source for these, so Winstrix remains entirely our own work, clean-room from the ground up.
Third-party components
Winstrix includes the following third-party software under permissive licenses. Full license texts are bundled with the app.
- Sparkle — secure, self-hosted app updates for macOS. Licensed under the MIT License. (© Sparkle Project contributors.)
A complete, version-accurate list of components and their licenses ships inside the app under Winstrix → About → Acknowledgements.
